The Emergency First Aid course is suited to people who work in low hazard organisations. It will teach you how to respond to accidents and incidents that you could encounter in the workplace or sporting environment. This course meets HSE Requirements and is accredited with ProTrainings.

  • Understanding the role and responsibilities of a First Aider
  • Be able to assess an incident
  • Be able to provide First Aid to an unresponsive casualty
  • Be able to provide First Aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Be able to provide First Aid to a casualty with external bleeding
  • Know how to provide First Aid to a casualty who is in shock
  • Know how to provide First Aid to a casualty with minor injuries

The First Aid at Work (3 day) course will provide you with the qualification and training you need to help treat someone who is injured or ill at work. This three-day training covers a multitude of first aid skills including but not limited to the following:

  • Resuscitation.
  • Management of the unconscious casualty
  • Control of bleeding.
  • Management of burns
  • Head injuries
  • Fractures
  • Spinal injuries
  • How to Recognize and treat common medical conditions.
  • Contents of First Aid Boxes
  • Demonstrate safe use of the Automated External Defibrillator. (AED)

The First Aid at Work is a 3 day course, with each day lasting approximately 6 hours.

An employer should make an assessment of first-aid needs appropriate to the circumstances (hazards and risks) of each workplace. First Aid at Work training includes Emergency First Aid at Work and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses. This training is appropriate for individuals working in high-risk environments.
