Method Statement (basic principles)

Our NDTG-approved Demolition Refurbishment Operative Course lasts one day (eight hours).

Weekend courses commence at 7.30am and weekday courses at 8.30am.

Our NDTG CCDO Demolition Refurbishment Operative Courses are delivered at our training centre in Maidstone, Kent.

Candidates signing up to the NDTG CCDO Demolition Refurbishment Operative course must:

• Have at least two years’ experience as a Demolition Labourer.
• Hold a valid Demolition Specialist or above Health, Safety and Environment Test Pass.
• Hold a current approved NDTG or UKATA Asbestos Awareness certificate (e-learning NOT accepted).

After successful completion of the NDTG CCDO Demolition Refurbishment Operative course, candidates will receive an NDTG certificate and a three-year, non-renewable red CCDO Demolition and Refurbishment Operative card.

The NDTG is the only organisation able to issue CCDO cards, which are requested by companies who commission demolition projects in the UK.

After receiving their red CCDO Demolition and Refurbishment Operative card, candidates will have three years to pass the NVQ Level 2 in Demolition to become a qualified CCDO Demolition and Refurbishment Operative. After successful completion, candidates will be issued a five-year, renewable blue CCDO Demolition and Refurbishment Operative card. To renew your blue CCDO Demolition and Refurbishment Operative card, you will need to retake the one-day NDTG CCDO Demolition Refurbishment Operative course.
