NDTG Demolition Supervisor and Manager

Course Description

The CCDO Demolition Supervisor card qualifies individuals to take responsibility for demolition operations on site, from planning and delivering site inductions to ensuring team communication is effective. Reporting directly to management, the Supervisor will also take control of implementation of HSQE systems. 

The CCDO Demolition Manager Card is the most senior card available under the CCDO card scheme. After a 5 day course (usually spread over 5 weeks) holders will be qualified to take on the full responsibility of a demolition project, from Client and Surveyor Liaison to regular communication with supervisors about the running of the site.

More Information

For the supervisor card, you must complete a 5 day CCDO Supervisor course. 

A 5 day CCDO Demolition Manager course (usually split over 5 weeks) is required to for the CCDO Demolition Manager card.

Training can be carried out at NDTG venues nationwide. Contact us and we’ll be happy to get this arranged for you.

A Demolition Site Supervisor will have 5 years experience in a Topman or Chargehand role and be ready to take on further responsibility for supervising all levels of labourers within a demolition site.

To apply for the Manager’s card you must have held the full NVQ qualified CCDO Demolition Gold Card. Alternatively operatives who have not held the previous card, who have 5 years experience, may also be eligible after a CV has been provided, and reviewed by the NDTG team.

CCDO Demolition Manager Course 

This course covers:

  • Demolition foundations
  • Asbestos and the duty to manage (this is a module, not a full Asbestos Awareness course)
  • Waste handling and recycling
  • Structural Awareness

 

 

On successful completion of the Demolition Supervisor course, delegates will receive a red Trained Operative Demolition Supervisor CCDO card and certificate. This card is valid for 3 years and is non-renewable. Red cardholders must complete NVQ Level 3+/4 within the 3-year timeframe to convert the card to a fully qualified Gold Supervisor card

On successful completion of the Demolition Manager course, delegates will receive a red Trained Operative Demolition Manager CCDO card and certificate. This card is valid for 3 years and is non-renewable. Red cardholders must complete NVQ Level 6 within the 3-year timeframe to convert the card to a fully qualified Black Managers card.

The NDTG is the only organisation able to issue CCDO cards, which are requested by companies who commission demolition projects in the UK.

 

Red Trained Operative Demolition Supervisor cardholders must complete a NVQ Level 3+/4 within the 3-year timeframe to convert the card to a fully qualified Gold Supervisor card

Red Trained Operative Demolition Manager cardholders must complete a NVQ Level 6 within the 3-year timeframe to convert the card to a fully qualified Black Managers card.
